How to Make Your DIY Card Suit Hanging Ceiling Decor
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cut Your Shapes
Load your red and black cardstock into your Cricut and let it do the hard work! If you don’t have a machine, don’t sweat it—you can easily hand-draw or trace these shapes and cut them out with scissors.

2. Prep for Hanging
Use a hole punch to create a small hole near the top center of each shape. (If you’re using a Cricut, you can even add this hole to your design before cutting!)

3. Add the String
Thread about 7” of fishing line through each hole. Tie a small knot at one end so you have at least 3” of string to work with. Repeat until all your shapes are ready to fly!

4. Stick and Enjoy!
Using your tape or glue dots, stick the ends of the fishing line to your ceiling. (All that jazz!) Space them out at different heights to create a dynamic, floating look.
