Whether you’re hosting a “Cupid’s Casino” night or a fun birthday bash, these chargers add that professional “elevated” look without the professional price tag. What You’ll Need for Your DIY Poker Chip Charger
Materials:
- Charger Plates: I used gold, but you can pick any color that fits your vibe!
- Removable White Vinyl: For those classic poker chip “marks.”
- Removable Red Vinyl: Used for the “heart cash amount” in the center.
- Transfer Tape: Use a standard or light bond so it doesn’t stick too hard to your plate.
Tools:
- Cricut Machine
- Scissors
How to Make Your DIY Poker Chip Charger
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Measure Up
Measure your charger plate’s diameter and the inner edge. This ensures your design fits perfectly inside the rim. (This was tedious but so worth it for the perfect fit!)

2. Design Time
Create your design in Cricut Design Space. If you want to skip the design work, you can grab my SVG file on Etsy – it’s already sized for Dollar Tree chargers!
~5.6″ W x 5″ H for the Heart
2″ W x 1″ H for each Chip Mark
The whole selected design is about 12.75″ W x 12.75″ H.

3. Cut Your Vinyl
Load your vinyl and let the machine do its magic. I used white for the outer ring marks and red for the heart cash amount.

4. Weed It
Remove all the extra vinyl (the negative space) from your cut design.

5. Prep the Plate
Give your charger a quick wipe down. It needs to be clean and dry so the vinyl sticks properly!
6. Transfer
Apply your transfer tape to the vinyl, peel it up, and carefully center it on your charger.

7. Smooth & Peel
Press the design down firmly, then peel off the transfer tape. (Peel slowly so you don’t take the design back up with you!)
Repeat this process until you’ve applied all the decals.

Pro Tip: We used removable vinyl so you can change these back to normal chargers later. If you want them to be permanent, just use permanent vinyl instead!

Time + Cost
Time: 45 minutes
Cost: Under $20 (especially if you find chargers at the dollar store!)
