How to Make Your DIY Custom Playing Card Drink & Food Menus
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cut the Base
Draw and cut out your cardboard wing shape. Cut a second layered piece for just the back to keep things stable.

2. Reinforce
Hot glue that back piece right onto the base.

3. Prep the Fabric
Lay your fabric down and place the base on top. Trim the fabric, leaving about half an inch around the edge.

4. Wrap It Up
Hot glue the fabric around the edges on both sides until the cardboard is completely covered front to back.

5. Layer the Feather
Start with your largest feathers on the top left. Alternate colors and sizes for a full, lush look. (This was tedious but so worth it!)

6. The “Inside” Side
Repeat the feather layering on the inside. You don’t need as many here since this side touches your back.

7. Add Hooks
Use hot glue to secure 3 Command Hooks to the back base—this is how you’ll wear them!

6. The Boa Tail
Cut your boa in half and glue each end to the bottom edge to create a “split tail.”

7. Bling It Out
Glue rhinestone trim around the edges and add your gems wherever you want that extra sparkle

Time + Cost
Time: 2-3 hours (Put on a good playlist!)
Cost: Under $50 (depending on your feather choices)
